2020 will be Di Lu’s 5th year working at East Point Academy. She currently teaches Mandarin at Middle Campus. Lu is from Xi’an, Shaanxi, China, which is the capital of 13 dynasties and home to the Terracotta Warriors Soldiers. She graduated from the University of Georgia with a Master of Arts in Teaching in World Language Education. During Lu’s spare time, she likes cooking, traveling, and watching movies. When teaching, Lu likes to incorporate projects, music, movements, and cultural exploration with language learning. She firmly believes that when teachers apply a global lens to their instruction, they are building global competencies in their students and nurturing global citizens. Global citizens develop a broader and deeper understanding of the world and different cultures.
