Mrs. Ashley Cohoon is the Chief Programs Officer at East Point Academy. Mrs. Cohoon was the Elementary Assistant Principal for four years. Mrs. Cohoon received her Bachelor of Arts degree in Elementary Education from Clemson University and her Master’s in Educational Leadership from the University of Texas of the Permian Basin. Prior to joining the East Point Academy family, she taught third grade and fifth grade in Richland School District Two. Mrs. Cohoon has completed Richland School District Two’s Training Administrators Program, is a South Carolina Mentor teacher, a member of Delta Kappa Gamma Key Women Educators Society, and was named the Behavior Lead on the Discipline Committee at her previous school. Mrs. Cohoon’s recency in the elementary classroom gives her a tremendous amount of experience which will enhance her ability to help the stakeholders of EPA. In her career, she has been student-centered, professional, and collaborative with experience in providing instructional and curriculum development support to diverse student learning. Her numerous certifications and training provide her with the exposure to ensure growth in the students and faculty at EPA. Mrs. Cohoon and her husband, Caleb-Scott, live in Lexington, with their daughters, Reagen and Raleigh. They enjoy spending time with family and friends on Lake Murray, watching Clemson and Carolina football, and playing with their three dogs in the backyard.
