Temple Hart and her family moved from Upstate New York to Columbia, SC in 1998. Temple graduated with an Associates Degree in Nursing in 2003 and graduated from the University of South Carolina with a Bachelors of Science in Nursing in 2009. Temple spent over 17 years of her nursing career at Palmetto Health in Women’s Health; Labor & Delivery, then she found her way to the Children’s Emergency Department at Prisma Health where she obtained her Certification in Pediatric Nursing. Temple loves caring for children, and their families. During the height of the Pandemic, Temple began working as a COVID Triage Nurse in order to assist SC’s critical staffing needs. These opportunities provide her with up to date knowledge of protocols and policies in order to keep the students, staff and their families healthy. This was the perfect time for Temple to fill in at the Elementary Campus as a substitute nurse, and fall in love with the Panda Family. In August, Mrs. Hart will be joining the East Point Academy Panda family full time! During the summer, the school hours are limited, but she welcomes any new or returning students/parents to stop by and introduce themselves. Please feel free to reach out to Mrs. Hart at 803-926-5180 ext. 1112 to discuss any of your concerns and/or guidance in making this transition smooth and helpful for your child. Mrs. Hart is looking forward to a healthy, exciting school year.
In her free time, you can find Mrs. Hart with her husband, Mr. Hart (Yep, the Mr. Hart you already know) spending time with their 5 grandchildren and their cat named Cyrus. Mrs. Hart also enjoys gardening, exercising, reading and crafting. She has some exciting ideas and BIG plans for the 2021-2022 school year, so stay healthy and let’s get this school year started!
