Junlan Li has served as Assistant Principal for Chinese Immersion at EPA since 2018. Li has been working in the field of foreign language education for more than 20 years. She got her two bachelor degrees from Renmin University and Jiangxi Normal University in China, and two master degrees from University of North Carolina at Greensboro and Wake Forest University in the U.S. Now she is working on her doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction at USC. Junlan Li is an expert in immersion education and was one of the three educators in both the U.S. and Canada, who won the Ai Ling Guan Educator Award 2020. She published more than ten research papers on language and cultures in different academic journals and presented in several international conferences in the U.S., China, Scotland, Germany, and Canada. She regards intercultural communication and foreign language education as her lifelong career. Li is also a professional translator and interpreter, and a freelance journalist. In her spare time, she likes reading, traveling, and playing video games.
