West Columbia, SC– With a commitment to providing a rich and full educational experience for aspiring teachers and school students, East Point Academy and Newberry College Education Department established a partnership agreement. The partnership aims to enhance Newberry College Education Department by providing future educators a space to gain practical experience and professional development. In turn, East Point Academy will receive training, support and professional development from the team at Newberry College.
East Point Academy Head of School, Mark A. Bounds, explained the benefit of such a collaboration saying “We are very excited about this partnership. Newberry College has a long history of graduating excellent teachers. I know that together, we will make a positive difference for our students and their teaching candidates.”
Interim Department Chair of Teacher Education, Jared Woolstenhulme, echoed Bounds’ enthusiasm adding “This is a great educational partnership between a high quality academic school and Newberry College Education Department. We are excited to work with the leadership, teachers, and students at East Point.”
