Empowering Young Leaders: East Point Academy Launches Elementary School Safety Patrol Team

West Columbia, SC – East Point Academy is delighted to announce the launch of its first Elementary School Safety Patrol Team, a dedicated group of students responsible for ensuring the safety and well-being of our fellow students. Under the guidance of Officer Chestnut, this program aims to instill a sense of responsibility and teamwork in our young leaders.

At East Point Academy, we prioritize academic excellence and the development of strong character traits in our students. With that in mind, our Elementary School Safety Patrol Team has taken on crucial responsibilities within our school community.

Our Safety Patrol members are responsible for creating a safe and orderly environment in the cafeteria during breakfast. During drop-off and pick-up times, our dedicated team members help students exit and enter vehicles safely, ensuring a smooth flow of traffic. In the halls, our Safety Patrol Team diligently watches over fellow students, encouraging kindness and respectful behavior. They serve as role models, reminding their peers about the importance of treating one another with respect and empathy. Officer Chestnut’s leadership has been instrumental in launching this fantastic program, empowering our young leaders to make a positive impact on their school community.

We firmly believe that cultivating a sense of responsibility and leadership in our students from an early age is key to fostering a sense of accountability and commitment. The Elementary School Safety Patrol Team embodies these values and will play a vital role in modeling these values for our student body.
