We live in a device-driven world. From paying for goods, to ordering food, we use computer technology multiple times per day. Computer use was once the “wow factor”; now it is the norm. Our Curriculum Team works closely with teachers to ensure technology is used to enhance instruction, not as a replacement for great teaching. While devices are part of our instructional approach, they are not the focus. East Point values art integration, and penmanship. We believe reading should be done using printed material, and notes should be written by hand.
At East Point, we understand both the dangers and benefits of instructional technology. We use Impero, and Edlink along with a Barracuda firewall to make sure students are protected, and focused when online during the school day. East Point Academy uses technology as one element of our academic rigor that will prepare our global citizens for future success.
