In order to build peer relationships and enhance the cultural
experiences for our students and teachers, EastPoint Academy forged sister-school relationships with the Wuhou Foreign Language School in Chengdu, Mainland China in 2019, and Bo-Cun Elementary School in Bo-Cun, Taiwan in 2020.
Beginning in 2019, the 8th grade capstone project for EPA involves a student study-abroad experience in China. The students travel to Beijing and Chengdu, and experience a home stay in Chengdu with sister school academic presentations and personal interaction with middle school peers.
In 2020/21 academic year, 5th and 6th grade students from EPA and Bo-Cun will begin a pen pal program to promote communication and correspondence between students on both social topics and academic projects. Similarly, EPA teachers will communicate on academic and curricula issues with their peers in Mainland China and Taiwan.
